The Jonny Hepbir Quartet featuring Mike Piggott.
Jonny Hepbir (guitar) initially played flamenco-jazz in a successful duo with Spanish guitarist, Ignacio Lozano in the early 90’s, before studying Gypsy Jazz guitar technique in the style of Django Reinhardt. His band tonight featurs Jason Henson (guitar), Dan Sheppard (bass) & Mike Piggott (violin).

Zoe Schwarz (vocals) & Rob Koral (guitar) last played here in 2021, and we’re delighted to have them back. Their exciting blend of jazz and blues have made them favourites throughout the UK, and their on-stage enthusiasm transmits to every corner of the audience. Sharing the stage with them tonight are local heros Nigel Thomas (bass) and Tony Shepherd (drums).

Rythme Futur is a four piece band led by bassist George Trebar, playing Swing, Jive, Gypsy Jazz and more! Alongside George, the line up is Duncan Hemstock (clarinet), Nils Solberg (guitar & vocals) and Benoit Viellefon (guitar & vocals). Expect to hear a blend of 1920’s to 1940’s music with loads of panache & class.

After their sell-out performance last year, they are back; this time with some classic music from the big band repertoire of Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Ted Heath, Count basie & Terry Gibbs plus other great writers from the UK and the USA. Adam Glasser Quintet – Adam (harmonica) started his career in jazz as a pianist but through the 1990s he began an increasing specialisation in the chromatic harmonica, which led to him filling in for Stevie Wonder twice. Adam’s South African roots and township rhythms are never far from his playing. His band at the Fishermen’s is Ant Law (guitar), Nigel Thomas (bass) and Paul Cavaciuti (drums) + Andy Panayi (sax/flute).
