Mark Nightingale’s (trombone) & Freddie Gavita’s (trumpet) quintet exclusively plays tunes composed by brass players. As well as Dizzy Gilespie, JJ Johnson & Clifford Brown, composers Sammy Nestico, Johnny Mandel & Thad Jones were all brass players too.This is a uniquely fresh programme performed by two of our very best brass players, with Jim Watson (keys), Dave Whitford (bass) & Matt Home (drums).
