Our Christmas Special concert this year is Simon Thorpe’s band Jivin’ Miss Daisy. With the wonderful Liz Fletcher (vox), the band also has a 4-piece horn section and a 4-piece rhythm section with some of the very best musicians anywhere in the world. The Adam Glasser Quintet – Adam is a leading exponent of the Jazz Harmonica.
He is originally from South Africa, where he was a prominent jazz musician with township bands as well as the country’s finest soloists, working with Hugh Masakela and Dudu Pukawana.
At the Fishermen’s he plays with Andy Panayi (sax/flute), Hannes Riepler (gtr), Nigel Thomas (bass) and Phil Crabbe (dms).
