Chris Coull’s ‘Blues and the Abstract Truth’.
Oliver Nelson’s writing and improvising flair were brought together in this classic album from 1961, ‘a must have’ record for any collector. The Line-up follows the instrumentation on the original recordings. Two of the UK’s best known and most loved jazz musicians. They first met at Leeds College of Music in the 70’s, and since then have played together in a variety of bands. Over the years they have both worked with just about everyone at the top of the UK jazz scene, and in every club and festival across the country and overseas. Oh, and they’re both multi-award winners too…
